ghd Platinum+ Flat Iron & ghd Helios Hair Dryer in Black Bundle Set review

Start with the exact p693 package

The US p693 product page names a black ghd Platinum+ flat iron and a separate black ghd Helios hair dryer in one bundle set. That makes this a dryer-containing package, but it is not the same retail configuration as a standalone Helios. The flat iron is a second appliance with its own purpose; the dryer findings below apply only to the Helios component. If a straightener is not part of your plan, the bundle is a broader purchase than a dryer-only listing.

The exact package page is the identity anchor. It does not display a separate SKU for the bundle or a model code for the included Helios. I keep the bundle tied to its p693 route and do not silently transfer every specification from the standalone Black p497 page. The matching product image shows the black dryer and flat iron together, but it is not a full box inventory or a rating-plate photograph.

What the bundled Helios page actually documents

For the dryer, p693 describes a contoured nozzle intended to focus airflow for styling control, variable power and temperature controls that include a cool-shot function, and a 9-foot cable. It also makes a 75 mph airflow claim. That number is a manufacturer specification, not a measurement by this author. The exact bundle page states a two-year consumer warranty for the Helios. It does not publish the dryer’s wattage, a numeric weight, its component SKU, or whether the nozzle detaches, so those details remain unknown rather than borrowed from a neighboring package.

The contoured nozzle supports a directed-airflow or concentrator-role comparison. The package page does not list a diffuser, comb or wide nozzle as part of this bundle. It also does not list a storage case. A picture of two appliances cannot establish that a third item is in the carton, so check the live offer if the accessories or case matter.

Separate the dryer’s voltage from the flat iron’s

ghd's US Help Center says Helios dryers purchased on the ghd US website work only where a 110–120 V supply is available. The exact p693 page does not show the included dryer’s rating plate or its exact component model code, so verify the delivered Helios label and use the instructions supplied with that unit. The Platinum+ description's separate universal-voltage statement belongs to the flat iron; it must not be applied to the dryer. This package is not documented as a dual-voltage travel dryer.

The US Helios family guide directs users to check the appliance rating plate and not to use a voltage converter. The guide is useful for safety and care context, but it is not an SKU crosswalk for this bundle. If the offer cannot identify the included dryer and its US electrical label, do not infer compatibility from the name “Helios,” from a plug adapter, or from another color or bundle.

Weight, storage and fit

No exact pound weight is supplied for the p693 Helios, and the 9-foot cable specification does not define a weight basis. It cannot pass a strict weight ceiling in the finder. The package page does not list a case, so case inclusion is also unconfirmed. These are practical limitations when the dryer will be carried frequently or stored with other hot tools. A description such as lightweight or ergonomically balanced is not a substitute for a numeric weight or a handling test.

The package may make sense for someone who specifically wants both the dryer and a separate flat iron, and who needs the Helios's manufacturer-described contoured airflow tool. Someone looking only for a dryer should compare the exact package contents and cost terms against standalone configurations instead of assuming the bundle is a better value. This assessment does not evaluate the flat iron's styling results or the bundle's advertised performance claims.

Purchase checks before choosing this set

Confirm that the seller offer is the black Platinum+ plus Helios bundle route p693 and that both appliances are included. Check the delivered dryer’s model marking, rating plate and US instructions; the electrical rating of the flat iron is not evidence for the dryer. Verify the nozzle, any case or extra tool the seller says is included, and the warranty and return terms for the exact offer. The current product image is useful for finish identification only.

This is an original research-based package assessment, not a hands-on review, comfort test, noise test or drying-time comparison. The established fit is narrow: a black Helios with a page-described contoured concentrator, in a package that also contains a Platinum+ flat iron. Its missing exact dryer code, weight and storage contents are central tradeoffs, not details to fill in from a sibling Helios listing.
